Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme aims to upgrade existing micro food processing units. It follows the One District One Product (ODOP) approach and offers credit-linked subsidies for capital investment.

💰 Benefits

Credit-linked capital subsidy @ 35% of the eligible project cost
Maximum subsidy cap: ₹10 Lakhs per unit
Seed capital of ₹40,000 per member for SHGs involved in food processing
Support for branding and marketing (50% grant)
Training and handholding support via District Resource Persons (DRPs)

✅ Who Can Apply?

Existing micro food processing units (individual enterprises)
New units can be set up by SHGs/FPOs/Cooperatives (for individuals, only upgradation of existing units is allowed)
Unit should employ less than 10 workers
Applicant should be above 18 years and possess at least VIII standard qualification

2Contact the District Resource Person (DRP) for assistance in DPR preparation
3Application is forwarded to the bank for loan sanction
4Subsidy is credited to the bank account (back-ended) after loan disbursement
